Skeg Repair 5/9/2010

Twice in a year I have had my skeg repaired by this shop. I drug the motor entering a parking lot and approximately 3 inches of the skeg broke off. Upon examination it becomes perfectly clear that the thickness of the material used for repair is paper thin thereby making the portion of the skeg welded on much weaker than the rest of the skeg. Was this done intentionally? Also asked them to try and unstop the little hole for the speedometer. Even though they failed to unstop the hole they tried to bill me for it. Only after protesting the charge did they agree to remove the charge. I do not trust this shop. Pros: Work done quickly Cons: Skeg material appears inferior more
