I was a member of O2 Fitness (in Chapel Hill) for one year, at which time I went to the Chapel Hill facility and cancelled my membership due to several family hardships (loss of my mother and divorce). I was assured everything would be taken care of and was not asked to sign any papers. I might add that it was impossible to get in touch with anyone at the main office in order to verify the transaction.\r

Almost three years later, I discovered that $69.00 was still be taken out of my checking account for this membership every month. I have to say, ""my bad"" as I realize I should have found this much sooner. However, the grief process does not leave much energy for clear thinking.\r

I talked to the staff at O2 Fitness and found them to be very supportive but unable to do anything. Thus I was referred to Michael Olander, the owner I believe. I sent Mr. Olander a letter explaining my circumstances and asking for a refund. Three months later, after no response from him, I sent the same letter again, this time requiring signature. I have confirmation that he received my communication over 6 months ago and still no response. Nothing. At all.\r

This is the type of service and treatment you can expect from the management of O2 Fitness.
