Went there tonight with my girlfriend and a good friend of ours. We used to frequent No Mas quite regularly, but hadn't been back in about a year.
The meal started off quite well with the Queso and Guac being as good as we remembered. Unfortunately, as soon as the main courses arrived the meal went down hill quickly.
I had the Torta Mexicana, and was expecting a real Latin style tort. Flavorful, crusty, with juicy chicken and good sauce. What I got was tasteless, dry bread with even more tasteless chicken. It was obvious that the cooks had used a press on the chicken to make it cook faster, thus giving it the taste and texture of thick shoe leather. The Yucca fries were bland and tasteless as was the ""spicy"" avocado sauce.
My girlfriend ordered the Burrito Grande and it was a huge portion. Unfortunately it was absolutely tasteless. Completely bland. I'm not sure how old the ingredients were, but wasn't able to eat more than six bites.
Our friend ordered the Enchiladas de Espinaca, and once again, we all found her dish to be tasteless. Huge portion, but lacking in any real flavor. Certainly nothing like the subtle and pungent flavors of TexMex or real Latin cooking.
I don't think we'll ever go there again, which is a real shame because it had been one of our favorite Sunday hangouts.
Pros: The Guacamole was good
Cons: The rest of the meal was horrible
