Tilikum is one of those restaurants that when you go, you think why don't I go here more often. Well honestly I've only been once, but it's the kind of place I should remember more frequently. It's a beautiful, charming and cozy space hidden amongst the crazyness of Seattle Center. Tilikum's menu constantly changes depending on what's in season, sourcing most of their food from local farmers. We enjoyed an exquisite rabbit terrine with dried fruits and nuts and crostini. Silky and smooth, the pate filled with an abundance of flavor. Chef Ba is known for her charcuterie, this was a prime example. My celeriac soup with roasted pears, creamy and rich, lacked depth of flavor, was just ok. House-made pastas are particularly well done, always evolving, highlighting the best of the season. Dessert portions are quite generous, that night, a decadent bread pudding, profiteroles with a rosemary caramel, both generously topped with a delightful vanilla ice cream. Lunch and brunch also rumored to be equally tasty especially their dutch baby. Next time I ask the age old question, where to go. I will remind myself, Tilikum Place Cafe. Pros: Flavorful Food, Cozy Intimate Setting Cons: Parking more
