Wish I Had taken our dog there sooner! We have a cavalier king charles named Max who was attacked by a pitbull on 11/28/09 being a saturday I scanned the phone book to find a vet open to get him to right away. We ended up taking him to Mayfield Vet Clinic. Max's front right leg was broken in two.. a high break..very close to the elbow joint.. The clinic put his cast on ..took it off after only a week.. put it back on.. talked about amputing his leg...we went through 8 weeks of weekly visits to the vet and had already racked up a $300 bill for a whole lot of nothing! Max got a secondary bacterial infection and the Vet clinic said.."well if he doesn't chew his own leg off..maybe it will heal itself....if not we have to amputate." and they sent us home..no medications..no nothing!
