Tonight I had the misfortune of going to Philip Marie. This was my first and last visit to this horribly crowded dump on the corner of Hudson & 11th ST. We had reservation for 9:30 PM and when we called no one informed us that there was a special Mardi Gras celebration going on and that there was a pre-fixed menu. We had purchased a special discount coupon from restaurants(dot)com and when we sat down we told our waiter this was the case. He informed us that they do not accept coupons on ?holidays? and he could no take it for our meal. We referred him back to the lack of disclosure at the time we made the reservation and decided to check with the manager. Upon his return we were informed that they would make a ?special exception? for us.
Pros: Too small to offend more than 50 or 60 per night
Cons: Bad food, atmosphere and especially service
