We have been everywhere this month on the search for the perfect date-night dinner. This place had it all! Although this restaurant is really known for the views and setting, it was rainy and dark so we really could only guess at what it would look like in the day, but the lights way up in the trees in the parking lot gave a nice ambiance. However even without the view, this place stood on its own.
From the moment we arrived we were greeted with above average service. As we approached our window seat in the corner we admired the rustic decorations accented by magnificently high natural stained log ceilings and walls. The mood was further set by romantic low lighting provided by a warm fire, and tastefully placed iron and cow hide chandeliers. Our server ""Mitch"" , was immediately table side offering the wine list and specials. We had the smoked salmon chowder and the asparagus and goat cheese salad as appetizers. The portion size and plating was spectacular. We also enjoyed the house Ale that was buttery and light and a bottle of their reasonably priced white wine. For the entree the Smoked cherry baby back ribs were to die for. Not to be outdone the Northwest Cioppino was melt in your mouth amazing. Truly blown away by the portion sizes, granted this was a lodge setting but what VALUE!, The portions were such that we had leftovers of everything at meals end. Excellent value, exceptional service and an amazing setting makes this a new date night favorite for this couple**
