The Hickory Creek HOA started sending us notices the week we closed on our home. On the day we moved in, our FIRST letter was a notice that our lawn needed to be mowed and shrubs needed to be replaced. No ""welcome to the neighborhood"" letter-- just a letter from them with fines. We have done an incredible amount of work on our home, and never receive notice about the positive aspects-- it's only negative correspondence.
On Christmas Eve, we received fines which do not even pertain to our home. This is a sign of real disorganization. Especially when assessing fines, they should be certain that they are contacting the correct homeowners. This is not the first time this has happened.
If we didn't like our home so much, we'd honestly consider moving so that we could deal with a different HOA who was more honest, reliable, and helpful.
