We arrived in pigeon Forge a day earlier than we had planned. Drove down the parkway and happen to see cheap prices for a room which also accepted pets. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and knew we just came in from Corpus Christi, Texas. She gave us a floor and room with no screaming kids above or below the room nor on the floor we were on. The room was huge with two king size beds, balcony over looking the river with a relaxing sound of the rushing water over the rocks. left the balcony door open and a storm came through in the middle of the night.. Best sleep I had in years. If we didn't make reservations at another hotel for the week; we would of definitely stayed at the Smoky Shadow.
