I am from Portland originally, but live in LA now. I got engaged in Feb 2010 and wanted to look for wedding gowns with my mom while I was visiting Portland. I honestly wasnt expecting to buy a dress on the trip. I went to literally every popular wedding gown shop in Portland and the surrounding areas and found the quality to be very cheap, the styles very common and the service average. When I stopped at Sophie Bridal Couture, I fell in love with the first two dressed I tried, so they created a custom gown for me using elements I liked from both dresses. I got a sketch of my dream gown, got to make adjustments and just picked it up today. It is EXACTLY what I wanted. It is a one of kind gown, great quality materials and construction. Sophie and her staff are amazing. They were so helpful and made me feel so special every time I came in. Sophie even made special arrangements to bring me my dress on Christmas Eve even though they were closed because she knew I wouldnt be in town again for several months. Awesome shop. Highly reccomend!!
