Pleasant Valley has been my family vet for 30 years but when I got my own dog I ventured out to a few others (Bellevue, Hillcrest). I'm back and so happy! They are not after your money, the docs are old school and believe in trying out a few things before running blood work and surgery and other expensive treatments. Pleasant Valley suggested a food change (at Premium Pets) and a combination of special shampoos with allergy shots and we are home free. Bellevue and Hillcrest had my dogs running thyroid and blood tests and lab work to solve the problem and it got VERY expensive. I never left without spending over $150 (70 just for the appt.) After all that, they wanted me to force expensive Rx pills down their throats twice a day which I would do if it were cancer or something severe. This was skin allergies. I spent THOUSANDS of dollars over 3/4 years at Bellevue and Pleasant Valley fixed in after one quick visit.
