We had taken our dog to our regular veterinarian, and later sought a second opinion from another local vet when he developed a problem with one of his rear legs. Both vets had told us that it was a simple muscular problem and prescribed basic anti-inflammatory and pain medicines. The problem did not seem to improve so we went to BCVH to see Dr. Hurd. She was very caring and took the time to explain the range of possible issues.\r
Dr. Hurd ran some additional tests, never offered by the first two vets we saw, and we discovered that our dog had developed early stages of bone cancer. Fortunately, we were able to pursue aggressive treatment and he's doing much better today. I hate to think what might have happened if we had not gone to see Dr. Hurd.\r
We won't go anywhere else now!
