This is not a haunted house and I'm disappointed that they call themselves so. And it sure as hell isn't a theme park, for which I would expect long lines. As for the ""preconceived expectations"" the person below seems to think others had going in, I wouldn't call it crazy to actually WANT to be scared when I pay to go to a haunted house. It was set up almost as if I were watching a play, at least throughout most of the place. As a college senior who is majoring in theater, I see better entertainment at other haunted houses every year, you know, when people are acting as if they are literally stuck in a place of terror, and either begging you to help them out or pretending to keep you locked in. THAT is entertainment. If I wanted to watch a bunch of monologues about some boring story, you could at least have seating and serve popcorn. Having to stand in a room and listen to a story that I couldn't be less interested in, then get shuffled into the next room like cattle in is not my definition of sophistication. The demographic of haunted house goers is mostly made up of teenagers anyway who have little to no appreciation for theater and just want to piss themselves with fear or get to cuddle next to someone on a date. If I wanted to watch a play, I’d go to TPAC. Not an abandoned building next to a bowling alley. more
