As a native Houstonian who has traveled the world (including New York and Chicago for the yanks who think the only good Italian food can be found there) ... well, Antonio's can hold it's own with the best. Why? Well, one thing is Mr. Antonio came from NY a zilliion years ago and is a perfectionist chef... 2) he hand picks his own produce and meats 3) the cheese vendors can't stand him ... as he he makes and ages his own mozarella on premise... 4) all bread and hand tossed pizza dough made on site and ... get this - no indigestion as he preboils acid out of the tomatoes before adding to homemade sauce. The pizza is awesome as are the pasta dishes ... salads always cold/fresh and not a sprig of imperfect vegetables. Good wine choices at reasonable prices. And if you have kids - well getting a big giant floppin pizza dough thrown on your heads is better than catching a fly ball at an Astros game. Any cons - you may have to wait in line if you get there late ... servers are a little slow at times. As far as the other comments where people said the owners or their daughters were rude ... well - if they were rude you probably deserved it as this family run restaurant is ""well run"" and has a great family ... get to know them! In case you think I am some Italian buddy of the Antonios ,.. I am not ... Scots-Irish/ German and he still greets my grown daughter with ""ciao bella"" and has since she was a little girl.
