In response to the review submitted by Ashlee, I would like to tell you what I have observed at Singletree Stables. I began riding at Singletree over 25 years ago when I was 12 years old. Regardless of where life has taken me, I have remained in contact with both Joan and Jill. I have had numerous horses with various trainers over the past 15 years around the country. My husband and I relocated earlier this year back to Wichita with our 17 month old daughter. I currently have horses in training in Kentucky but ride at Singletree to keep in shape as well as familiarize my daughter with horses. I know many other families whos children ride at Singletree and they have all had positive experiences. I have not seen a more safe group of lesson horses. They are well cared for not only by the owners, but the full time staff and the children that love them. As for privately owned horses, I have never wittnessed an animal being abused nor would I tolerate it. As a boarder, it is each individual owners responsibility to ensure their horses feet are maintained and their horse is in proper condition. It sounds like this person needs to educate herself a little more on how to care for her horse. If such problems persisted and her horse was being neglected, why stay for ""a few years""? I can't speak for things being stolen - I haven't had that problem. The stalls are average size and cleaned daily. The indoor arena is extremely large and anyone is welcome to ride in it, even if lessons are going on. There is an indoor roundpen, outdoor arena, two tracks and numerous other areas to ride in. As far as making minors pick sticky weeds?? What??!! Singletree is a fun, safe environment for you or your child. I know they welcome visitors anytime so please go check them out and let the truth speak for itself!! more
