My husband and I took our daughter to the Bally's location three years ago, but the experience was so horrible it sticks with me to this day! We took our daughter for a trial class, but had to give our credit card info to PAY FOR THE TRIAL. The 30 minute lesson began almost 6 minutes late. There was only one other student in the semi-private class and he was afraid to get in the water. This ate into the class time further. Things happen, I understand, but the lesson ended promptly as scheduled and the manager gave to apology. When I tried to talk to her about my daughters placement into another better suited class she didn't want to hear it. She was teaching her own class at the same time! What an unprofessional set up!
I told her I was dissatisfied and that I did not want to continue with lessons if my daughter would remain in this class. She told me too bad, you already signed the credit card receipt for the whole session. What I signed was clearly marked as a sign-in sheet. So I told her I was going to cross my name off. She started YELLING at me. Said I couldn't do that. But she was in the pool, TEACHING, so she couldn't stop me. My husband and I left and she was STILL YELLING AT US AS WE WALKED OUT THE DOOR.
I'm glad my husband had been there or he never would have believed me when I told him about this horrendous experience. Needless to say, it took some time before we could convince our daughter to try swimming lessons some where else!
I highly recommend Shapes to Come in Berlin. My daughter loves it there.
Cons: Expensive, Unprofessional, Started Late, Just plain rude!
