I had a new transmission installed about two years ago. I am from out of town and had to go to a shop with a national 'presence'. However, he charged me close to 5 grand and now two years later my 'brand new transmission' is leaking like hell. Shoddy parts? Shoddy workmanship? Who knows. If someone is going to take that much money from you, then they should give you a LIFETIME warranty. Take your car somewhere else.
