Steer clear and give someone else your money 9/16/2009

We spent hours here on three different occasions. Our first sales rep, Charlie, was nice but when we went back for the third time, we were told he was not there (he was). The new sales rep, Rick, said he wasn't into paying the old car sales games, but that is exactly what he did. Our fourth visit was to buy the car at the agreed upon price, but when we showed up, he wanted another $50. I walked out and left my husband (who was the one purchasing the car) to deal with him. They did drop the price the other $50, but then they wanted to "steal" our trade-in. Mind you, we had received a letter from them saying they were looking for trade-ins such as ours and that it might be worth $4850 or more. They offered $2100 and wouldn't budge. Their reasoning was that it was only in fair condition because there were three different brands of tires on it. Hmm, who looks at that when buying an 8-year old car. The tires were the right size and had good tread on them. My husband came outside to get me and said they wouldn't give him his car keys back (this is an old game). I went back in and the sales rep and manager( Boris) were together and I demanded the keys back (in a loud enough voice that it got others attention). They still wanted us to buy their car but said we should sell our trade-in ourselves. I told them that they were misleading and using the same old sales tricks that we abhor. We left without purchasing. For a dealer who advertised end-of-year clearance prices, their initial price cut was only $700 off the MSRP. They finally agreed to $1700 off. These guys are DISHONEST. Pros: There are none Cons: Dishonest more
