Stopped by to buy $39 buck worth of wine, vermouth and snacks. Wearing a tie dye shirt, age of 50 and and Federal employee ID strapped around my neck, I was asked for an ID when paying with a Visa card. I was not entirely offended but came to wonder why so uber an*l for a relatively small purchase. Cork & Bottle is THE only place that asked for an ID. Do they treat all their customer as potential credit card thieves? I won't be shopping there anymore. It's Party Source, the local grocery or online ordering next time.
