I would think twice before you go to this eye Dr. I have gone to him for years and then about one year ago or more my prescription just wasn?t right. I kept trying different contacts that he would give me, but my sight just seemed off. Also, please note that you get charged every time you walk into his office. He is a nice guy and I have gone to him for years, so I felt bad complaining. Finally, my husband told me to get a second opinion. In one visit and one fitting by a new eye Dr. and I can finally see again! Dr. Mortensen also told me that I was in the latest and greatest contacts. My new eye Dr. seemed surprised and told me that the contacts I was wearing were at least 10 years old. Now I am sitting with a $70.00 or more box of contacts that I will NEVER use, plus I paid for one other box that I used but literally did not help my vision. He told me once the box is open then you can?t return them. Now he is sending me to collections over a $28.00 fee for a contact fitting. Laugh out loud. Yes, I am going to pay you $28.00 for not doing your job. Unbelievable, especially after I had to pay $200.00 plus to see a new eye Dr. and $20.00 for a new contact fitting, right after I just saw Dr. Mortensen. I should also add the new eye Dr. told me that if the contacts don?t work for some reason then he would replace them and stand by what he put me in. Good Luck. I would think twice before going to this eye Dr. Also, go ahead and ask his office in all the years that I have gone to him, if I have ever not paid him. NEVER!!! It has been a few months and the new contacts prescribed by the new Dr. are fantastic! You don't get paid money just because you are nice guy. You have to know what you are doing. My next stop is a complaint to a medical board.
