I have gone to Dr. Z since she was at Allentown Cat Clinic. I drive all the way to Quakertown just to see her. The negative reviews just don't make sense to me, because all of my experiences have been so opposite. I've found her very compassionate, professional and competent. I like that she "thinks out loud" and isn't afraid to say when she isn't sure about something. (And when she isn't sure, it is because the symptoms fit different things and cats can't talk, not because she isn't competent.) I had to make the hard decision when to put my cat to sleep, and she was straightforward with relevant information. She said that she could provide all the vet/blood work type information, but that my part of the decision came from the fact that I knew my cat very well and she didn't. I could "read" her behavior in ways she couldn't. She was also realistic about the costs of her care. I take my new cats to her now- since they were kittens.
