The other day my 4 mo. old kitten was stepped on in the dark and her leg was broken. We immediately took her to an emergency vet in West Chester for xrays and a pain shot. We were told there could be surgery done but it would be more expensive there and our best bet is to see a local vet. We ended up chosing Old Marple (baddddd choice!) We arrived there at 7am they took our kitten in the back and we didnt hear from them for another 2 hours when they told us they were "coming up with an estimate" 2 more hours pass and we are taken into a room and given the price and all they were worried abotu was how were we going to pay for this? They said they didnt have it in their sched. to do the surgery that day and it would be put off until the next day. I asked if this could make her conditon worse and I was told No. We finally get out of there by 10:30. So the next day I dont hear from them. I had to call them over and over and I finally get the DR and she says her blood cell count is down and
