Bare Bones Investment Operation 6/14/2009

For a store that tries to bill itself as high-end, the tacky hand-made ""Sale"" sign taped to the front window deters from that image. And that ""sale"" sign is up 365 days a year. Inside, the store is old, dark and appears not to have been updated in quite some time. It has a depressing feel. They only stock basic china pieces. If you want something outside the ordinary five piece place setting be prepared to wait while Crystal's orders it directly from the manufacturer. The same holds true for some of their non-china lines. If you don't find what you are looking for, the sales people have been taught to sell from vendor catalogues. If I am going to spend a huge amount of money for a nice gift for someone, I want to be able to see it and make sure there are no defects. Crystal's tries to pressure customers into buying based on catalogue photos so the store will not have to stock inventory and eat the profits if the merchandise doesn't move. Crystal's doesn't put the customer first. I'll shop elsewhere. Pros: Everything's On Sale 365 Days A Year! Cons: Only stocks basic merchandise. more
