My children attended Sunset for over six years. Overall, the facility is a good and safe facility. The teachers care about the children and work to positively influence their development. While the director of the facility cares for the children greatly, she has a track record of handling contentious situations very badly. Consequently, I have seen several qualified and capable staff members leave the facility. I have also spoke with many parents who removed their children from Sunset because they were offended by how the director set and communicated policies. I would have to agree that management and communication of policies that pertain to and involve parents are handled poorly at times. If you're thick-skinned and don't mind the director questioning your parenting, you'll be just fine.
