In the middle of the night on April 27th, my neighbors were walking their small dog when my large dog spotted him and ran to the end of my driveway where they were standing. My dog is 9 years old, has bad hips and is always in pain...he sleeps 23 hours a day. He has been around small children and other dogs all his life with no incident. But my neighbors constantly let THEIR dog come into my yard to torment him while I had him tied up outside. Well, he spotted their dog and wanted to let him know who's boss, I guess. A dog fight ensued; both dogs bit each other. My dog had gashes on his muzzle and theirs had bite marks on his chest. My neighbors freaked out and somehow talked me into driving them and their dog an hour to A.M. at 2 in the morning. When we got there, my neighbor "realized" he had "forgotten" his license. So the admitting nurse made ME fill out the paperwork before they would even look at the dog. That was the first mistake. We waited an hour and half before the vet final
