My next door neighbors are suing me for ""emotional damages"" related to the loss of their dog. Their dog and mine got in a fight late at night last week and I felt bad because my dog is much bigger (even though their little monster has been tormenting my dog for WEEKS and he kind of had this coming), so I offered to help pay the bill if they took their dog to our local vet's office in the morning. Instead, they freaked out and talked me into driving them and the dog into Angell Memorial at 3 in the morning. The ""vet"" told us she ""felt like"" the dog was suffering and that she was ""afraid he *might* die"". My neighbors do not speak very good English and were already tired and distraught. I couldn't pay the $2500 she wanted to perform xrays and ""invasive cleaning,"" so they opted to have their dog put to sleep. NOW I'm being sued and MY dog is labeled a killer. I hate that vet and I hope the whole hospital burns to the ground. This is the worst thing I've ever been through.
