I?ve been a landlord for many years, and after having had a bad experience with a property management company in Bend, OR I was hesitant about turning over a rental to another management company. I had recently sold my property in Bend, was looking to replace it with a Portland Metro property and needed a new management company. I met with Chris H. and the staff at Mainlander to give me guidance on the most desirable rental properties, and to judge their service and expertise.
We purchased a rental property which has now been managed by Mainlander since February 2007. Their advice on selecting a property has proved excellent and we?ve never had a problem keeping our rental occupied. I?ve also been extremely satisfied with how they address my concerns as an owner, and how they have worked fairly with my tenants. As a landlord I?ve always been concerned with keeping my tenants happy so that they stay in the property for as long as possible, and Mainlander has been supportive in this. When we do have the infrequent issue with a tenant, the staff has always worked with both my tenant and me to resolve the issue in an equitable and just manner.
My only concern in the past was the turnover in staff that was managing my property, but the staffing issues have been corrected and I have been very happy with the property managers I have dealt with, in particular Laura J. and Jen V.
I looked at other property management companies in the Portland Metro area, and I would honestly not choose another company to manage my rental property. I am very pleased with their service.
