So, they gave us no choice but to take him home and take him to the regular vet in the morning. We stayed up with him all night. Afraid that he would die any moment. In the morning he had his surgery. He was not recovering well. So, the regular vet suggested that we take him to this clinic for overnight observation, as the regular vet does not have 24/7 care. We asked if we could take him to another 24 hour hospital, but he said that he thought it would be in our dog's best interest to take him to this clinic because it was right across the street. Come to find out later, the regular vet is a shareholder with EVC. Was it really in the interest of our pet that he suggested to go over there again? Or does he get some benefit from referring patients there? After the surgery he began to leak fluid from his intestines at the surgery site, and began developing and infection. His prognosis was not good. We were told that he would need a 2nd surgery and he had only 10% chance of surviving. So, more
