I was devastated when my MD announced he was no longer going to practice family medicine. Insurance rates have made it impossible for these small time physicians to make it. However, after asking around, I found Dr. Stephens in north Austin. He came highly recommended as a GP with a small practice off of Duval. His initial examination was very thorough and asked questions I would have never thought of. He makes me very at ease and is conscientious of what makes people uncomfortable about coming to the doctor. I have had some run-ins with his support staff, but that is probably more my issue than anyone else?s.
