Booked a suite for a night for myself, my husband and my infant son. After arriving in Miami we were told when we got to the reception desk that the hotel was overbooked and they transferred us to another hotel. Nobody tried to contact us ahead of time so that we could find a different hotel. The clerk at the desk didn't seem to care about my infant needing to be changed and would not point out a bathroom for me. The "hotel" was actually a small motel room with one bed that was dirty and smelled of smoke. Called to complain and was told the manager would call us back. We left 2 cell numbers with the desk clerk as we were driving around looking for a hotel room. The manager called us early the next morning at our home (in NY) to resolve the issue. more
