First off, I disagree with the previous review.. Downey's Chocolates was a Top Pick for Chocolate in the OC and La from Good Day LA .. The Chocolate was really good, and freshly made by hand in the shop. Downeys offered Chocolate making classes among other interesting unique food items for Breakfast and Lunch as well as homemade ice cream ..They even had several varieties of Crepes made to order in front of the customer..This was a interesting, sophisticated, and artistic type of cafe experience..\r
Anyway, none of it matters because they are no more..Out of Business..\r
I blame the location,,(location location!) an older strip mall in older part of Laguna Niguel, (it should have been in Newport Beach or Laguna.) Of course the ECONOMY was also a prime factor. Too Bad!.
