Sometimes on weekends, you may have to wait about 45 minutes. But it is worth the wait. I have been going to La Bamba for several years and the food is always consistent in its quality and freshness. \r

I ordered their Pollo a la Plancha ($12.95), a marinated grilled chicken breast topped with lots of sauteed onions. A generous portion of white rice and black beans are also included. The sweet plantains are soft and absolutely fantastic. Some other restaurants seem to either overcook or undercook their plantains. La Bamba always gets it right. The chicken is marinated with what tastes like lime and other spices I can't put my finger on. But the results are splendid. I tried to duplicate their grilled chicken at home and couldn't. Leave the cooking up to La Bamba.\r

I recommend this wonderfully relaxing restaurant to every one. Look for more reviews at dining coupons online.
