Not much to see here 2/28/2009

Eh...not so great. It's kind of small, and many of the exhibits are about the museum itself (?!). They have a little display about how they make their guitars with a video showing the factory and some examples of the parts used, and displays of several notable guitars (Kurt Cobain's ""Jagstang"", the gold guitar from Bye Bye Birdie etc.), and a couple other amps and guitars and some info about Leo Fender's history. It takes about 20-30 minutes max to walk through the entire display. It would be much cooler if they offered tours of the factory, and this ""museum"" was the first or last thing you saw on the tour. But as a self-contained attraction, it's not much. Pros: There are a few interesting things to see; kids free with adults; free music lessons for kids that live nearby Cons: Very small, surprisingly few things to see for a company with such a storied history, not able to tour the factory, overpriced Fender items for sale (but not guitars) more
