I took my cat in for an emergency visit based off a recommendation from a friend. My cat was very ill and they did all of the standard tests. They wouldn't even guess or give me any inclination of what it may be. My cat proceeded to get worse as they racked up more tests and more cost. I finally made an appointment to end her suffering. The techs asked me if I had been there at least 4 times and were very rude and short staffed. When I met with the vet she said I was giving up and the hundreds of dollars that I already spent was not good enough. She spent 15 minutes telling me that I should not get another pet and this cat was loosing her life because of me. She never once offered a solution and she asked if I had done a viral test- Which I had done there!!! She never even looked at the file. My cat was starving to death and miserable. As I was loosing a member of my family she showed no empathy at all only blame. I then asked her to stop as tears were running down my face. She continued to lecture. As I held my cat in my arms to say goodbye crying, and very angry She proceeded to say Can I take her yet. She tried to recover every time by saying, well I know how you feel. It was the worst experience of my life and I have been to multiple vets with more class and experience. Don't waste your money. If you want your animals to be treated well go to the Missouri Flat Pet Clinic in Placerville, It may be a drive, however they are the most compassionate understanding people I have ever met. I have had pets my whole life, and I even have a special needs dog. There is no limit to what I will do for my pets, however doing surgery and torturing an already suffering cat is not on my list. How dare she treat me the way she did.
