I was referred to Dr. Feld by the Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital's Diabetic Class Instructor and was thrilled to be able to find a doctor that could help me with the problems of diabetic feet. On my first visit, I was told that I could order diabetic shoes because I have Medicare and the shoes would be covered. The appointment was supposed to be with Dr. Feld but he was out of the office that day and another doctor (that I actually liked) only examined my feet and made another appointment for me to come back to get measured for the shoes and to be seen by Dr. Feld. On that appointment, Rachel stated that the size of the shoes were going to be Size 14 and I told her that was too small and that I usually wear a Size 16 - extra wide and she argued with me about the size. By that time, I was so frusterated and knew the shoes would not fit. On today's visit (12/14/09) I went to their office, tried on the shoes and told both Dr. Feld and Rachel that I told them the shoes would not fit and that the shoes were so tight in the length and width that they were choaking my feet. Then Dr. Feld said ""there is nothing else I can do - have a good day, sir"" and walked out of the room. \r

What he should have done was to say ""we will have to order a larger size"". What happened to the customer always being right - well, not at this office.\r

My advise is to stay away from this doctor. He doesn't like to be told that he is doing anything wrong and his staff is very rude to the clients.
