I signed a 4 month contract with massage envy in Apex, NC and I didn't have a problem with the therapists. Some were better than others, but I'm sure that's the case anywhere. I did, however, have a problem canceling the contract. I initially called to cancel over the phone and they said they would call me back. They did not, so I went to them and gave them 30 days written notification, as required. A few days later, I received a call informing me that I had free massages remaining on my account, so they suggested I wait to actually cancel, so that I could get my free massages. The manager said he would cancel for me on a specific date and assured me that I would not be charged again. I thought this smelled fishy, so I stopped payment on the account. Good thing too, because the manager did not cancel the account as he said he would and they tried to charge my account again. I received a lengthy phone call, which I did not appreciate, asking me why my account wasn't paying or the way I see it, why wasn't I allowing them to steal my money. I would not do business with them again and I most certainly wouldn't sign a contract.
