I have seen some bad reviews on this place and I don't understand it. I will say my wife and I are from Vegas and were told how great the food is out here in Portland area and we have eating nearly everywhere and have not been impressed to say the least. I think we are spoiled, which we didn't realize until we moved here. You would think being so near the ocean food would be better but I think they fly all the good stuff to New York, San Fransisco and Vegas:O) As for Tokyo Japanese we are over all very happy with this restaurant. The staff is super friendly and the food has always been fresh. I have had my meat over cooked only a few times but it happens even at the best restaurants. I really feel that they are better than most and if anyone has had a bad experience with them give them another chance and don't be afraid to speak to the owner with issues you had last time. He has prepared sushi for me the way I specify and he is eager to satisfy not typical for people in Portland.
Pros: The owner and staff are super friendly, food is always fresh
Cons: not open super late but most places out here arnt
