I first had Thai food in the kitchen of my boss, his wife is Thai-born, and raised. The food was great there and the same for this small restaurant. They make and serve many of the ""expected"" dishes, and make a few in a ""home-style cooking"" not haute cuisine. If you are a ""foodie"" and want the exotic stuff, you might not like this place.
If you have friends or family that are of Thai ancestry and enjoy home-cooking. You will like this place. The kitchen staff is small and have been there a long time, they tend to cook to suit their regular customers.
Many of whom HAVE spent some time in Thailand.
I have gone to other Thai restaurants, here in Maryland and in many other cities. This place compares favorably to the best. There have been a couple other Thai-style places that did not last very long. There must be a good reason for why this place is still around.
Good food, and yes, they will ""tone it down"" or serve it Thai style (very spicy) if you wish.
Pros: Eat-in, the food is well seasoned and very good
Cons: The locale might be a turn-off to some
