We had our young dogs spend a couple of nights at Chaparral while we were in town for vacation. They were very flexible about letting us come by and take the dogs out during the day time-- there was never any problem with hours, or connecting with staff, etc. The runs seemed nice enough, and the dogs had plenty of fresh water. We were able to bring our own food. When we brought our dogs back for their second night at Chaparral, they seemed happy and excited and returned to their run with no problems! This was nice, because we were nervous... we've never kenneled the dogs before. The only problem we had was one dog had a harsh cough the second morning after kenneling. Both of our dogs have had their kennel cough vaccine, and our vet ER believes it may be a viral kennel cough. But really, there is no way to say-- it was so soon after leaving the kennel that the cough have been brewing even before he was dropped off there. Our other dog is fine.
