We had a dinner here about a year and a half ago. It was terrible. The service was decent enough. The appetizer cart - just okay. The steaks were totally overdone. We were seated on the upper level where I was able to watch the two ""chefs"" at the grill. The flame was so high - I thought twice about ordering the ""tenderloin"" - it really didn't appear that they knew what they were doing, and I was right - they didn't. The prices were WAY too high for the meal served. We were so dissappointed in the meal that we called to complain and found out that the restaurant mamgement had been transferred to the family children who changed things around a bit. I do not know if they were trying to cut costs or what - but I did suggest to hire actual chefs. These guys looked dazed and confused. They comped us a meal - reluctantly - but it was just so bad, we never went back. I just don't want to waste my time and effort and have the same thing happen. There are so many other places to dine in St. Louis. Quite a shame because I had been there roughly 15 or so years ago - and it was memorable and a positive experience.
