We adopted a beautiful and sweet kitten from a shelter recently. She was just six weeks old and like quite a few kittens, came down with an upper respiratory infection. Trying to be good pet parents, we made an appointment for the next day at Banfield. In addition to the antibiotic for the URI, the vet gave us two different sorts of flea/mite medication. She said Advantage Multi would be fine for our now seven week old kitten (who weighed a bit under a pound). We went home and shortly after our kitten started having seizures. They didn't give us any take home info on the meds but, we looked up side effects online and called the vet. They were closed (it was almost 7:30) and every place we checked in town had similar messages to call places up in Indy if it was an emergency. We started the hour and fifteen minute long drive up to a 24 hour emergency vet clinic up in Beech Grove. Our kitten died an hour into the drive. \r
