I decided to check out this salon since it is very close to my new house. When I walked in I was impressed by the atmosphere. It seemed fun and hip, exactly what I was looking for. I went in not knowing what kind of cut I wanted, only knowing that I wanted a change. My stylist made a suggestion of what she thought worked with my face shape and I was all for it. However that is where the conversation ended. She made no small talk AT ALL throughout my entire cut. She spoke a bit to the other stylists around her, but never to me. Watching the other stylists around me have fun with their clients made me a bit jealous. I tried to spark some conversation but it didn't really break the silence at all. I have never before had a silent haircut, even when I was young and went to strip-mall chain salons they talked to their clients while working with them.
