I love this place! Ok, partly because they seem to be going in the direction of being a Cubs bar. As a lifelong Chicagoan transplanted to New York, this is great! But the beer selection and the atmosphere are huge pluses. (The beer selection regularly rotates!) And I am definitely looking forward to football season, as this seems like a nice place to hang out on a cold winter's day or night and shoot the breeze with any conversational clientele. Don't let the amount of TVs stop you from coming in. This is not an ""in your face"", blaring, glaring sports bar. It is a place to catch a variety of different games and meet a nice mix of friendly bartenders and patrons. The special free food nights are fantastic. And you've got Pommes Frites around the corner where you can purchase all fries all the time, with any of a number of sauces, and bring them to the bar! Don't forget to look up at the ceiling for an endless array of sports jerseys and paraphernalia and check out the train track running along the upper wall of the bar.
Pros: Great beer, friendly atmosphere, unique sports bar. Not like those overly commerical ones.
Cons: None, though some day I'd like to see the train running on the little track along the wall...
