I have grown-up with at home and tasted chicken fried steak at restaurants all of my life, (being a native Texan), and have proclaimed my home cooked chicken fried steak was the best........until I went to Neal's Restaurant. I indulge in this sinfully delicious comfort food as often as I can, especially since it is offered on the lunch special daily. Don't be fooled by imitators; this one is the best.\r

I have been eating at Neal's for over 3 years now both lunch and dinner and the food is always hot, homemade and delicious. I am a very varied eater and my suggestions include obviously the chicken fried steak, fried mushrooms, (insanely good), the stuffed shrimp (wow), crawfish ettouffe (heavenly), steaks cooked to perfection, yummy Texas BBQ. I could go on and on. For true country cooking this is the place!\r
The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is great and you feel like a part of the family. \r
