I went to the Atomic on Burnet for my first tattoo. I walked in knowing exactly what I wanted and also feeling a bit nervous and squeamish. The atmosphere didn't help. First of all, I don't really look like a girl who would be interested in tattoos. I know that, but when I walked into the shop, I felt that the peoples' attitude towards me was basically, ""What is she doing in here?"" It was very off-putting. I was kept waiting for an hour, even though they weren't particularly busy. When I showed the guy what I wanted (I don't know his name, since he didn't introduce himself.), he took it and made a bunch of other designs that were NOTHING like what I wanted. Fortunately, I stood my ground and he (grudgingly) agreed to do it. The tattoo itself came out fine and only took a few minutes, so I am pleased with it, though I did feel it was over-priced. But he wasn't very nice about it and I did not feel comfortable there at all. I'm going to get another tattoo soon. I will not be going there.
