We went a few weeks ago to the top of Hurricane Ridge and loved it! I would suggest this to anybody who wants drive high in elevation and see snow caped mountains. A heard of deer was playing and eating in the field just outside the visitor's center and they provided many photos ops. They seemed tame and were walking within 5 feet of people often. The visitor's center offers a free movie and has is staffed with rangers during certain hours. There is also a gift shop and some soft of food and drink bar. There are many different trails, some paved, that you can take to walk around by the visitor's center.
