Chanterelle in Edmonds is a MUST place to dine when in Edmonds. With it?s warm yellow and woodsy interior in one of Edmonds historic buildings, it is updated, hip, and almost funky with an espresso bar, large dessert showcase and a wall of wines. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Favorites are their large salad entrees, the (best) fish tacos, and the cioppino ? a real treat on a cold wet day. \r

On my last visit I had the chicken panini with brie and chutney - an excellent choice. It was accompanied by either soup or one of four salads. I chose the spinach salad with mushrooms, asiago cheese and almonds, dressed in a light, fragrant dressing. My companion had the chicken quesadilla and raved about it. Although we had no room for dessert, the selection was tempting and is something to look forward to on our next visit. \r

Anyone looking for great food, a varied menu, good taste and price should make Chanterelle a regular dining spot. If you are lucky to get a table by the front window, you have a view of the water and you are always right in the heart of downtown Edmonds. So, walking around before or after your meal makes for a perfect day. Bon Appetit!\r
