I found Dr. Simotas online. I went to her thinking something was seriously wrong with me. I was bleeding on & off for over a month. Which was not normal for me. She asked if it was possible I may be pregnant & I said there was no possible way. I did not think I could have children after being with my husband for 14 years & never getting pregnant. She ordered a lot of testing to be done to test a number of things, including my hormone level. All of my test came back normal with the exception of my hormone level being over 10,000. She called to inform me of the results and to tell me I was pregnant. She wanted to have more testing done & ordered me to go back that afternoon. I was shocked thinking I could not have children & was going to possibly have a miscarriage. Dr. Simotas took all precautions considering I was still bleeding on & off. I was very stressed having to deal with my divorce throughout my pregnancy. Everyone including her entire staff was very supportive to me. I had several ultrasounds to make sure all was well with my baby. Due to my last ultrasound results, Dr. Simotas suspected I may have IUGR (which means my baby had stop growing). She sent me to a specialist for further testing. Dr. Simotas' diagnose was confirmed accurate. I was sent to the hospital immediately to have an emergency C-section. Dr. Simotas delivered my baby @ 31 wks. My baby girl weighed 2 lbs. 8 oz. & was 14 & 3/4"" long. She was in the NICU for 47 days & Dr. Simotas followed up with us frequently to make sure my little girl & I were both doing well. My little girl had heart surgery @ 3 wks old & weighed only 3 lbs. @ that time. Dr. Simotas was there to talk whether it was professional or personal. I was very pleased with my experience with her & her entire staff. I highly recommend Dr. Simotas. I truly believe if she had not taking all precautions necessary with my pregnancy, my little girl would not be here today. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Simotas & her entire staff.
