The thing about Dallas is there are too many places that try to pass themselves off as authentic, down-home western spots. If you want the ""real McCoy,"" Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse is about as authentic as they come. Owner Charles Schreiner IV is part of the Y.O. Ranch family located in the Hill Country of Central Texas. The menu reflects everything indigenous to the Lone Star State. If it roams the range, chances are you'll find it on the menu. There's plenty of steak, but what makes Y.O. unique are the game meat entrees like venison, quail, buffalo mignon and elk chops. Out-of-town guests will love the bucolic atmosphere with old photos of life on the ranch, ropes, saddles and other rustic relics. Head on down in a pair a jeans and your most comfortable sport coat, grab a beer, and soak up some genuine Texas flavor.
