I went to Teak for my birthday this past saturday night. It was the worst dining experience of my life. We sat down to our extemely rude waiter who took 20 minutes to get our first round of drinks. We had a table of 9 in which gratiuty was automatically included (which is poo poo for the service we got). $13 for a vodka. And the kicker was $10 for each 32 ounce bottle of water that we didnt even ask for? They kept bringing it out. Not to mention one of my friends got charged for a beer and 3 pieces of tuna he never got. Oh yeah and the previous posts about people getting sick? My friends girlfriend got sick within 30 minutes of eating here. I have lived in hoboken for almost a decade and would recommend several other sushi restaurants (robongi, sushi house, sushi lounge) in a HEARTBEAT over this place. Plus the music is ridiculously obnoxious. I don't mind a little swank, but I don't need to see everyone in their Ed Hardy and Bebe branded T's fist-pumping to the latest KTU jam while I watch my friends get sick from the bad fish they serve here. After waiting 15 minutes to dispute our bill, the only plus side of the night was the fact that the manager (after 2 conversations) knocked 62 dollars off of the bill. Oh did I mention that someone in my party got their credit card run twice? That still has to be sorted out.
Please don't ever go here. Go anywhere but here.
